DESCRIPTION :

 

You want to create a new disk image (D64) file, in order to be able to save some information.

 

CAUSE :

 

A game may require some data to be saved for later use, or you may wish to save a program for later use.

 

SOLUTION :

 

Press the F9 key, to enter in to the textual menu, then go in to the appropriate 1541 Device sub-menu.  When you have “(Dir) .” highlighted (meaning the “current folder”), press F1 to Create New D64.  Type the full name of the D64 file, including the “.D64” extension, then press the <Enter> key to confirm the file name.  The new disk image (D64) file will be created with the specified name.

 

The newly-created disk image (D64) file will need to be made the currently-inserted disk, in order for you to save any information on to it.
